Gallery Talk at The Print Center

Join me at The Print Center for afternoon tea where we will debut my new line of silkscreened kitchen textiles called Best and Better.
Altshuler, a recent graduate of The University of the Arts and an artist member of Space 1026, finds inspiration in the pattern, charm and feminine narrative found in French toiles, Japanese woodblock prints and fashion that verges on costume. The loosely autobiographical characters and objects in Altshuler’s work reflect her daily routines and relationships. The characters, though not triumphant, are clearly working towards finding their way in the world.
